Books...mmm....

I suppose it should be obvious that someone working in a library loves to read, perhaps even have a little obsession. I am certainly not an exception. I LOVE to read. I might not read a wide range of books, but there are SO many out there, well, you would need to read 24/7 to have a truly wide range of reading. I definitely do not have that kind of time. If only...

Library Thing was FUN! Obviously I added more than the required three books. I really liked how it recommended books based on what I had read. Very handy. It can be so hard to choose what to read! What if it's horrible? Do you finish it to at least see what happens to the characters, or do you just give up? Or maybe you should just stick to the same authors so you'll know that you are safe and entertained.

Maybe I will become more widely read after all...

I love pictures!!!

I LOVE TAKING PICTURES! I should probably point that out, which is probably a good thing since I used to be a photographer. I also love looking at good, no, GREAT pictures and trying to figure out how I can recreate them myself. I will not claim to be the best photographer in the world, or anywhere. I still need to learn all the technical stuff, but if you give me a two year old in a studio...well, you'll get SOMETHING, usually something good, or at least amusing. That is where my expertise lies.

Anyway, Flickr is something I was already familiar with. I've been using it as online storage for my pictures a while now...but other than that I never really played with it. I could get SO addicted! I could easily spend hours upon hours looking at pictures....which would of course distract me from taking my own, but I could be OK with that. This is definitely something that I will be using more than I was before. Sweet!!!

So ill...

I DO NOT ENJOY BEING SICK! Not that I think anyone does, and if they do then they really need to be evaluated by those little guys in white lab coats. Do you ever get so messed up in the head when you're sick that you start seeing things? Oh boy, I do. Yesterday I just STARED at this book for a few minutes. I could have sworn it was flipping me off! I really wanted to know what problem this book had with me. I didn't do anything to it!! Well, obviously it wasn't. And I choose not to admit what it was about the book that made me think that.

So, today I did the whole RSS thing. It took me awhile to really figure out what it was. Even as I was picking things to put on it I didn't know. Then it clicked (and I felt a little silly that it took so long) but at least it finally clicked! I'm really going to have to play with it more to see if it's something that I'm really going to enjoy and use. Still, it was interesting to learn about...and that it even existed.

I believe I'm done confusing my mind for the day....

Later is better than never

So I got kind of a late start on week 3, but at least I did it! And I'm really enjoying tagging. Not typing in every web address is a real time saver!

You know, this whole blogging thing is really hard. What do you write about?! I could write about what's going on in my life...I suppose. Or I could just write about this 2.0 stuff, but that doesn't seem like it would make for a very long blog. I just don't know!! I figure I'll just write in whatever manner my mood happens to be in. That's grammatically correct, right? Oh well, I don't care! As long as it gets my point across.

Right now I am reading this HILARIOUS book. Ok, not much reading involved in it, but that's ok. It's called "Boners-Seriously Misguided Facts-According to Schoolkids." The title pretty much explains it. And the illustrations are by Dr. Seuss and some of them are funnier than the fact that they're illustrating. If I explained it wouldn't do any justice, just trust me and read it. Did you know that celibacy is the crime a priest commits when he marries?? I had no clue! Now some of these "facts" made me feel a little stupid, because I didn't know either, but still a very amusing read. Highly recommended by ME.

I apologize if this blog was not as entertaining as you hoped. I do try to please! But, alas, it all depends on my mood.
